Help with quoting, pricing, contracts, and your account

Everything below answers a question we actually get asked. If yours isn't here, email us — a person reads every message.

We answer by email, usually within one business day. Tell us your company name and, if it's about a specific job, the quote number — it saves a round trip.

Quoting and measuring

How do I write my first quote?

  1. Tap New Quote.
  2. Pick the fence types and how many runs of each.
  3. Fill in the specs, or tap Measure on map to trace the fence line from a satellite photo — the footage drops straight into the form.
  4. Check the running total, then Save.

Saving takes you to Edit Quote Info, where you set the final price, the deposit, the scope of work and any notes. That is the wording the customer signs, so it is worth a read. Next comes the Job Sketch step, then Review & Sign.

How do I measure a yard from the map?

On the map screen, one finger draws and two fingers move the map.

The measurement is as accurate as the imagery. On a tight job, check it against a wheel.

Can one quote cover more than one type of fence?

Yes. Add as many runs as the job needs and mix types freely — vinyl along the road, chain link at the back, a section of ornamental aluminum at the gate. They price independently and total together on one document.

Pricing and your price book

How do I load my supplier's prices?

Admin → Pricing → Suppliers.

Upload the price sheet in whatever form you have it: PDF, spreadsheet, Word document, or a photo of a printed page. The app reads it and proposes a match to each item in your catalog.

Every match is shown to you before anything changes. Review the list, correct anything wrong, and confirm. Suspicious jumps — more than five times or less than a fifth of the old price — are flagged for a second look.

The next sheet from the same supplier is nearly one click: the app remembers how their names map to yours.

What should I check in my price book before quoting for real?

Your catalog starts from platform defaults so you can quote on day one. Before you send a real quote, check the numbers you use most:

Pricing Health shows which parts of the book are still on defaults, and flags prices that look inherited rather than set.

Can my reps see or change the prices?

No. The price book is admin-only. Reps build quotes against it and can be given room to discount within limits you set, but they cannot edit the underlying numbers.

Contracts, signatures, and deposits

How does a customer sign?

Two ways, and both produce the same signed document.

Either way the signature is recorded against the quote and a signed PDF is stored. A quote can only be signed once, and expires after 30 days by default.

How do deposits work?

If your company has connected Stripe, the customer can pay their deposit from the same link they signed on.

The deposit is set on the Edit Quote Info step. It defaults to your company's standard percentage, and you can change it per job — the amount charged is always the amount on the signed document.

Money goes to your own Stripe account. The app takes no cut of a deposit.

Is the contract wording ours or yours?

Yours. The scope of work is drafted from the quote so you are not staring at an empty box, and you can rewrite any of it before it goes out. Your terms, logo, and company details are what print.

Showing the customer the result

What is the Visualizer?

The Visualizer puts the fence you are quoting into a photo of their actual yard.

Take or choose a photo, mark roughly where the fence runs, pick the style, colour and height, and it renders the result. Queue several combinations and compare them side by side.

Send options link to customer gives them a page showing every option over their own yard, with a button to tell you which they prefer.

What happens to the photos of a customer's yard?

They are uploaded to generate the preview and saved to your company's gallery so you can pull them up later. They are visible only to your company. See the Privacy Policy for how photos are processed.

Account, billing, and data

How do I get an account?

Companies are set up by us so your price book and branding are loaded before your team logs in. Request access from the homepage and we'll usually have you running within a business day.

How do I add or remove someone on my team?

An admin can invite, edit, and deactivate users from Admin → Users. Removing someone frees their seat. Your plan sets how many seats you have — see pricing.

I forgot my password.

Use the reset link on the sign-in screen and follow the emailed link. If the email doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check spam, then email us and we'll reset it for you.

How do I cancel, and what about refunds?

Plans are month to month and you can cancel any time. Full details are on the Cancellation & Refunds page.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your own account from inside the app, or from the account deletion page. Deleting the last remaining admin of a company is blocked so a company's records are never orphaned — remove the company instead by emailing us.

Who owns the data I put in?

You do. Your quotes, contracts, customers, and prices are yours, kept separated per company, and available for export. The Privacy Policy and Terms spell this out.

Devices and requirements

What do I need to run it?

WhereWhat you need
Office / laptopAny current browser — Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox
In the truckThe iPhone or Android app, for quoting in the driveway
TabletWorks in the browser or the app

The mobile apps are a free companion to a paid company account — sign in with the same details. Contracts and job scheduling are on the web app.

Does it work without signal?

The web app keeps a local backup of work in progress if it loses its connection. The mobile app needs a connection and tells you plainly when it can't reach the server, rather than looking like it saved when it didn't. If you quote in dead zones regularly, tell us — it affects what we build next.
